Sorry, I've been left high and dry before. The first step is to protect yourself financially, and the second step is to investigate. I just opened up a savings account she didn't know about and dumped some money in there "just in case" and then started to poke around.

The best part was last month when we were going out to eat and I told her I had to put some money into savings - and then pulled into Wells Fargo. She was like "What are you doing - we don't have an account here". I quickly explained that Wells Fargo offered me $100 to open up a savings account with them when I got the loan for the Jeep - which was true.
