In St. Catharines, Ontario back in 2012 - a female Niagara Region police sgt. who worked the R.I.D.E program, gives drunk driving seminars at local schools...and does the breathalyzer tests with motorists - hit a motorcyclist after she left the bar at 2:30am. She was hammered...over twice the legal limit. Police who arrived on scene sent witnesses away without taking their statements...then drove her around the countryside for a few hours trying to sober her up before administering a breathalyzer test on her (in another city). She still blew over 0.10.
She was charged with DUI - but never suspended...and kept working an administrative position for several years pending her court trial. She pleaded not guilty - but recently lost.
