Hello Orjan,
Thank you for inquiring about Google's Content-Targeted Advertising.
Building upon our successful keyword targeting technology, we now offer
Content-Targeted Advertising on sites in Google's advertising network.
With Content-Targeted Advertising, we place highly-targeted ads on Web
site content pages as well as on search-related pages. AdWords advertisers
can now reach customers viewing Web content that is directly related to
their AdWords keywords and ads. For example, if users look up the weather
forecast for Palm Springs on a weather site, they may see text-based
AdWords ads for deals on hotels and cars in the Palm Springs area. Or, if
users are reading about how an acoustic guitar works on a music site, they
may see ads for hand-crafted acoustic guitars. Content-Targeted
Advertising benefits Web users by linking Web site content with relevant
products. And it's great for Google's advertisers, who can now reach
customers on more places on the Web.
If you are a new or current AdWords advertiser and have elected to
distribute your ads to our ad network, your ads will automatically begin
appearing on relevant content Web sites. Because Google matches content on
web pages to the most relevant keywords, we cannot guarantee placement on
specific content pages. However, if your keywords are descriptive of your
product or service, your ads will be shown whenever possible when a page
contains related content.
Keep in mind that because we only consider your clickthrough rate (CTR) on
Google when measuring your account performance against the minimum
required CTR, the performance of your Content-Targeted Ads does not affect
our overall evaluation of your account performance.
We're excited about the potential of this new approach to ad targeting and
look forward to increasing the reach of your ads.
If you do not want your ads to appear on content pages, you can change
your distribution preferences at any time.
To view or edit your distribution preferences, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your account at
https://adwords.google.com.
2. Click 'View/Edit Campaign.'
3. Click 'Edit Campaign Settings' next to the campaign for which you would
like to edit your distribution preference.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the 'Distribution
Preference' boxes. Your ads will always show on Google's search site, but
you can select additional option(s) based on where you would like your ads
to appear:
-- Search sites in Google's ad network:
When this option is selected, your ads will show on Google and on the
search sites in our ad network, which includes AOL, CompuServe, Netscape,
and others.
-- Content sites in Google's ad network:
When this option is selected, your ads will appear on Google, Google
Directory, Google Groups and on the content sites in our ad network, which
include HowStuffWorks, Blogger, Weather Underground, Knight-Ridder
Digital, BURST! Media, and others.
(Showing your ads on all possible search and content sites offers the
broadest ad exposure and is what we recommend for most advertisers.)
5. Click 'Save Changes' after completing the above edit.
Please feel free to email us at
[email protected] if you have
additional questions or concerns.
We look forward to providing you with the most effective advertising
available.
Sincerely,
Bradley

I can see that you send traffic to my
site through banners like these:

What kind of traffic is that?
In google adwords I pay only for
targeted keywords. Not banner clicks.
Please explain asap.
