Jact- the patent itself is not valid in Canada, but if Acacia wins, they can still hurt you. They can pressure your billing, or even your host's upstream provider.
Regardless of geography, we all need to show some solidarity and support those who are working on behalf of all of us. This isn't a fruitless endeavor like telling Visa to GFY, it's real, and affects nearly every one of us in one way or another.
