Actually, the U.S. and Iran were close allies from WW2 forward.
Iran used to be our "muscle" in the middle east. The Shah was in power (with out support) from 1941 up until 1979 when the "revolution" ousted him.
So you could post that same picture up there...but replace it with every President from WW2 up to Reagan. And they would all have administrations that sold weapons to Iran.
People make those memes to try and attack one "side" or another (republican or democrat) without realizing that history shows that there is no difference between them in the long run.
