worked for 4 producers for 5 years, 2 of them produced commercials, the other 2 films, in fact one just exec produced T3.
anyway, one of my duties was to edit casting tapes for clients to go through...came across plenty of soap actors, former sitcom "stars," etc.
Our receptionist was an Academy Award Nominee...Quinn Cummings.
They are all hacks...if you think porn is demeaning, run some casting for a toothpaste commercial...you'll see people sink levels that would just amaze you, just so they can smile into the lense and claim 4 out of 5 dentists choose that product ;)
