Media makes sure you will have to choose between 2 career politicians (= corrupt liars) who have families tied to former presidents. Media gets informed by the white house propaganda machine. Trump doesn't fit their mold, it is very likely that he is hard to manipulate to be just a puppet, so they make sure he is destroyed in said media.
