Many, many people are the victim of rumors and even false accusations. Look at Lady Gaga and the whole "Sir Gaga" thing, where news outlets printed a quote where she apparently "confessed" to being a hermphrodite.
What I am postulating is that there is a good chance that Mr. Cosby had consensual sex with many of the women now accusing him of rape. There is also a chance he went beyond their boundaries, as was a common behavior among hollywood elites of the time, and should *along with each and every one of them* be prosecuted.
In a case like this, I don't believe in having the accused suffer based on evidence that wouldn't hold up in a court. Mob justice doesn't, and shouldn't, work. I'd rather let a guilty person go free than convict an innocent person.
