It continually confounds me that one of the big players with the kind of budget needed for development has not created an iTunes of porn. A single app you can run on your computer to access all the content you want for either a per title purchase or a monthly subscription.
With the problem of being able to get such an app onto mobile devices due to the restrictive content policies of Google and Apple considered, such a product could be sold into the TV market by supplying a dongle with preloaded porn apps. There's no shortage of open source platforms on which this could be done.
So with some creativity you could have both a desktop and TV dongle app in the hands of consumers that allows unmatched content choice and a platform for further expansion.
However what we see with Porntime is the pirate community doing this first. It's no wonder Porntime is getting interest, it's a platform people obviously want and will embrace.
