I don't know that he's there (in the race) to tear down other republicans. I see his presence more as serving to steal some or all of Hillary's media thunder, which so far he is doing like no other. I'd be surprised if he went the distance though, the more likely is that he'll withdraw long before any debates get truly 'heated'.
Someone will emerge as the lead dog for the GOP but it won't be him. There's simply way too much sideshow feel for him to muster any semblance of a serious campaign. Only my 'dumb Canadian' opinion though.
I agree though, it would be fun to watch him debate basically anyone in the race. It would be even more fun to see him and Hillary but it'll likely never happen. I say 'likely' because I've long ago come to realize that nothing is impossible, especially in US politics.
