I sort of agree with you about Jenner. Not that anyone is right or wrong or "full of shit" but in the sense that we are all "broken" and its really just a question of where, how bad, in how many ways etc. I don't think he is "lying" either. I don't think she is "lying". But I also don't think Jenner is a hero or that she is a villain. I just see two sick people that are in clear need of help. Jenner might actual suffer from some form of gender identity issue, but its hard for me to imagine being in so much "pain", "living a lie", "being so confused" without any symptoms for 5 decades like severe depression etc... and then his very first move is to make it all as public as possible and capitalize on it in every way. It seems to me that it's not something a person traumatized by a lifetime of confusion, stress and distress would be anxious to do either.

you know much more than i do about the inner-workings of people. but yes, lying is not the right word for either. i do see the differences and similarities of these two and how their decisions are embraced. we all lead lives of quiet desperation.
nevertheless, i agree, they are both mentally ill in some way i don't understand.
but their life decisions have been judged entirely different, that's what's interesting to me here. however their confusions manifested, either by bold direct lying, or hiding the lies, they both are charades and it's curious to me why one is exalted to hero status while the other is vilified.
