Just an FYI, no home-OWNER is forced to have homeowners insurance. People who's lender own their home require insurance as part of the mortgage agreement. If you own your home outright no one gives a shit if it catches on fire, floods, gets blown away or blows up from a gas leak or meth lab mishap.

As far as auto insurance more than 25% of Florida drivers are uninsured and the state could care less. They just raise the uninsured motorist coverage for the rest of us.

Think about it, roadblocks would catch 1 out of 4 drivers breaking the law but like I said, no one cares.
