well if you look at it this way, skynet was going to develop the terminators no matter what, but when they got the samples from t1 it speed up the process.
TO FUCK WITH YOUR HEAD AND THE WHOLE SPACE-TIME THEORY BS:
How could miles or whateve the black dudes name is be the one to create the terminator for skynet if it hadn't been developed yet only studied BUT since they had obtained the samples that would thus change the future meaning he was the one who did it anyways.
So in short, they fucked up the whole past creating a new future. Which funny enough is what each movie plot is based on trying to do by killing people.
