She was clearly resisting arrest (arrest for what, we don't know since the footage doesn't show that) Maybe it was justifiable, maybe not. But it stands to reason that if you let them handcuff you, and not resist. Maybe once the situation is under control, you can reason your way out of them. That's not being a sheep, that's using common sense. You have to show respect, to get respect. Part of the issue with today's youth is that they don't respect anyone. I'm certain that 12 officers didn't show up and start grabbing people and arresting people just because they felt like it.
