of course many Americans agree with you and oppose TheKing. Thats what makes the US what it is.
are you so blind that you do not understand that we have a two party poltiical system?... that the country is basically divided 50/50 between two basic political idealogies? that politics is a game of discrediting the actions of the opposing party and laying blame for any wrongs (real, imagined or fabricated) at their feet?... do you understand that having an opposing political party trying to discredit the controlling political party is par for course? does that make them more right? its just business as usual. in politics, "right" means "majority". Do the majority of americans support your views? no. can you prove they do? no. is Bush's approval rating more than 50%? yes.
this is where idiots like you go right over the edge in your rants... because if your opinion is something you feel strongly about and feel is the "right" opinion or the ONLY right view... yet know it is in the minority.. then you have no other recourse other than to start making the retarded argument that "americans are brainwashed", "were tricked" etc etc. because what other argument are you left with? that most people dont agree with you? that your views are in the minority? that it is a fact that a semi retarded asshole you dont like is running the world? that must suck.
roughly 50% of people in the US should agree with TheKing. 50% should oppose those views. thats how the system works. Just because you choose to see only 50% and falsely extrapolate it out to mean 80-90 and even 100%, does not mean your more right.
politics in the USA - namely conservatism and liberalism is more an expression of self and indicative of personality types... not "right" or "wrong" which is purely subjective anyway. its about right brain and left brain dominant people - abstract reason against logic - each side expressing their views as right and not having sufficient ability to weigh both sides of an issue objectively.
are you objective? can you see any issue objectively? .... or do you spend your time convincing yourself "I am smart and objective... and it just happens that i am right all the time about what i believe because i am capable of seeing "all the facts"?

My political stance is that of a moderate with liberal leanings. I am not a fan of President Bush...I did not vote for President Bush and I will not be voting for President Bush in the next election.
I was in favor of the take down of Saddam and the invasion of Iraq...for a variety of reasons...and if it would have been left up to me this action would have taken place within the first year or two after a truce was agreed to in '91.
I have not been brainwashed or "tricked" by this Administration. The Adminstration used "WMD's/materials/programs" as the primary "public face" for the take down of Saddam. I personally always thought that this "public face" was only a small part of the "big picture"...for the take down of Saddam...and have repeatedly provided my reasoning prior to and since the invasion.
The Webbys of the world are now accusing the Administration, and President Bush in particular, of lying about the subject of WMD's. I do not for a moment believe that the Administration would have used WMD's as the rallying point for the "public face"...if in fact they did not believe that WMD's would be found.
This would provide fodder (and be predictable) for what is happening now...cries from the Webbys of the world "They lied!"...a Congressional investigation (which is now taking place)...and Political opponents (which is now taking place).
I suspect that the end result of the Congressional investigation will be that the intelligence agencies provided intel to the Administration that provided the Administration with a conclusion that WMD's would be found...thus they chose to use WMD's as a major part of the "rallying cry/public face".
If the Congressional investigation concludes that the intelligence agencies provided intel to the Administration without a bottomline conclusion of WMD's and in fact the Administration put their own spin on the intel that was provided to them and drew their own conclusions...I would favor impeachment proceedings if that falls under the Constitutional requirements for impeachment.
If it does not fall under Constitutional requirements for impeachment I would assume that at the least it would insure that President Bush would not be re-elected.
I for one will not automatically conclude that the President and those in his cabinet knowingly lied...until the facts are in...and the facts will not be in until the Congressional investigation is concluded.
The Senate has already announced that public hearings will begin in September...in the meantime, as is SOP, they are holding private hearings.
Either conclusion reached by the Congressional investigation "They lied!" or an "Intel" failure will damage the credibility of the US..but will not be a fatal blow to the country per se.
