Well, I just got my letter and packet in the mail.
I am a no one in this business, and some how I've been targeted. I started reading through the paperwork they sent, and I am totally confused.
It even says that if I have leased video feeds on my site, I still have to pay and I'm responsible. How can they do that? That means the company that provides the feed has to pay, and then the company leasing it has to pay. That's paying twice for the same thing. That makes no sense. Its like if I buy a special blender from the store, and the people that manufactured the blender are in patent violation, I as the consumer would be responsible. That's just fucked up. What has the judicial sysytem come too? How could any intelligent judge rule in their favor. Its also like double jeopardy. You can't be tried for the same crime twice, but Acacia is trying 2 companies for the same thing.
My donation is on the way. I wish I could afford more, but I'm just a small fish in a big pond. I still can't believe someone as small as me got a letter from Acacia.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. And I will keep posting bump to keep this thread on top. Someone should pin this shit. It is important to anyone that does business on the internet.

Adam.. you hit the nail on the head. Part of Acacia's strategy seems to be to go after the little guy. Attack those who cannot afford to fight in an effort to validate their patents.
I'll say it again, loud and clear, for anyone who has not yet heard me say it before:
IT IS THE POSITION OF THE DEFENSE GROUP, AND THE IMPA, THAT THE ACACIA PATENTS ARE NOT VALID. WE WILL FIGHT VIGOROUSLY TO INVALIDATE THE ACACIA PATENTS IN A COURT OF LAW AND PROTECT OURSELVES, OUR BUSINESS, AND OUR INDUSTRY.
If you have received a packet and would like to talk, or if you would simply like more information, please feel free to contact either myself, or
