You should come visit the US; lots of nice people who feel the same you do about the defense buildup. I actually went to denver and then to cheyenne and visited yellowstone...everybody was very nice ect, but they would not give voting in bush or clinton again a second thought...no matter how much bombs they have dropped...terrorism is not a bad trait for a US president in the eyes of the US voters...
belgrade is fine, you have 20-30x less chances of being raped than in the USA, we have 100 murders/year total compared to the 10.000 in the USA and we have no gangs and you are completely safe in any part of town any time of night or day...police will not shoot you either...you may get "gringo priced" in a taxi...
