That isn't a get out of murder free card (not saying this case was murder, just generally speaking), just because the 'victim' knew that their actions may have led to death at the hands of someone who is fucked in the head/incapable of proportionate responses
It's your kids' job to push limits/boundaries with you, the authority figure in their lives, because that's what kids do, but nobody ever turned round after a parent killed their kid because the parent lost it "the kid should have known that parent was an unstable fuck who had to express their anger by killing them"
