THAT is their job. Spending all their time in perpetual campaign mode to raise money and traveling the world at taxpayer expense plus hookers and blow isn't what they are supposed to be doing.

I know it sounds like their job Robbie, but they also have to deal with their districts needs in their states. Think about it for a min.. It's impossible for them to be on the floor all the time.
I know we all like to joke and laugh that they only work 3 days a week or what ever it is.. but lets be real here. They are also dealing with stuff from their states and each congressmen has an average of 13 meetings a day. Think about that for a min.. Maybe a meeting is 5mins maybe it's 30 mins.. with 13 a day on average there are going to be all different types of meetings.
How long do you think it would take you to do 13 meetings a day and and then deal with what ever you needed to do to prepare for those meetings and or do what ever was requested at those meetings?
Then of course there is the fund raisers.. and lets not forget they are also supposed to read those 3 thousand page bills which they vote on..
