I'm sick and tired of hearing that so and so was on a committee and only voted on three of twenty votes. If you miss a certain percentage of votes, you should be instantly removed from office.

I tend to agree with this.. There really is no excuse for them to not vote in this day and age of technology. There is any number of ways they could cast a vote while being out of Washington.
They could very easily have some sort of private networked system with video conferencing where they can be ID'd with face recognition software prior to sending a vote electronically.
There is really zero reason for this not to be the case.
