when i was a kid, i learned that censorship is bad.
it was a time when the Parents Music Resource Center, run by tipper gore, was trying to ban judas priest & ozzy osborne records due to their lyrics.
Their censorship brigade succeeded in the record industry affixing labels warning of explicit lyrics in CDs. You needed an ID & be 18 if you wanted to buy labeled albums in the record store. Its true, its true.
i myself bought a cassette of guns n roses appetite for destruction. was quite proud of myself, felt rebellious when i listened to the word fuck in a song. ah the good old days.
sad to read of people wanting to ban other people 30 years later.
