I'm all for retesting, its more necessary then ever with the growing elderly population.
the problem is the elderly get the same test we do, they should be given a more advanced test that will challange them in high risk situations and in quick judgement situations. Like a test where a kid runs in front of the car, or where a car pulls out and they need to react quickly. With age you lose your brain to body part reaction time which is the most important thing while driving. It's the same as driving drunk, your censory system is jaded.
