i own a home down in Phuket and spend a good period of each year in Thailand, and do have a thai lawyer on call (i had to get one to buy my house in the first place, kept him on due to the nature of my business)... if anyone can line up some specific questions i will definitely touch base w/ him and see what he has to say on the subject.
in the past he has told me that the only thing thai authorities will bust you on is the actual production and dissemination of pornography, and that as long as i only used the internet for administrative purposes and was not *uploading* obscene/hardcore media from thailand to the web there was nothing to be concerned about. last year an australian couple was caught producing porn in the town where my house is (Patong, Phuket) and they were indeed producing pornography in their rented room for internet distribution... they were culling young ladies from Soi Bangla and were eventually caught due to 'word of mouth'... they both received sentences of 10 years in a thai prison (probably at the large prison facility NE of Bangkok in Korat), and were *not* deported as many seem to think is the result of expat's and tourists breaking thai law... be careful slinging the pr0n in the land of smiles!
again, if any can supply me w/ a short list of reasonable and thought-out queries i will make sure to get answers for them from my thai lawyer..
