china is not 3rd world...3rd world refers to non-aligned countries...
having to outsource production is not exactly a sign of strength...let me break it down to you:
your economy is so "efficient" that you have to hire chinamen to produce a 1000$ phone...it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to hire americans to do it because the phone would cost 2000$ and apple would go bust...
same goes for most former american brands that now employ more chinamen then americans
