I heard everyone on the Phuket Summit get arrested and sentenced to death!
But i never had problems in Thailand, stayed there more than 1 year in total.
I would avoid some countries, get your name out of the whois, encrypt your laptop with truecrypt.
but i don't 'own' websites anymore, just a hosting provider now.
