Many cam models from Canada and the US work from home, are well paid / make good commissions, usually in college, and come across is extremely genuine. They do it because they want to, and most are independent.

Cam models in Russia and other places all work out of studios. Their english vocabulary is limited and they are under crazy pressure to make sales so they try to sell their services within the first 2 seconds of a customer entering the room. This combined with limited English translate into a Pushy and unconvincing sale.

Cultural and other differences make it much harder for the customer to make a personal connection with the model too. Anyone who has been in cams a while will tell you that there is a lot of repeat business to be had, but personal connections and chemistry it key to getting it.

Paying overseas models a salary is extremely risky. Paying Canadian & American models a salary is much less risky. I think that the way TheHand is doing it is right.
