Seriously? Aside from posting full length videos, how's this any different from how TGP's started out? They also started out as thieves and later went "legit" taking submissions instead, just like most tubes are doing now.
The sky was falling back then, but the savvy ones adapted and adjusted their business model to fit with the new conditions.

It's ALWAYS been like that. Adult was full of shady operators back in the day too, just like it is now. Only difference now is the webmaster community (whatever's left of it) being a lot more vocal about it, since tubes and other pirate sites have cut into their profits at an unprecedented level.

FYI, these awards (XBiz, AVN etc.) always go to their biggest advertisers. With the exception of those categories where they don't have any advertisers in place, like troll of the year, best webmaster etc.
