You are an idiot for buying it, and the only thing you did was cement the fact that you have no idea how to make money. I was also like 20 years old then and it was my first business. How much money were you making at 20? I'd imagine hanging out at the local clubhouse and washing their bikes wasn't that lucrative, even though you most likely continue to do it to this day
