Even though Turgut speaks german with no accent and considers himself as german as Hans is.

And that is why a lot of 2nd, 3rd generation immigrants are frustrated and turn into the wrong direction - whatever they do, they get the short stick - even when they did everything to adapt.

There are a lot of intelligent and well educated young people of turkish origin going back to Turkey cause there they have excellent chances for good jobs.

and that is OUR fault, not theirs.

and those that remain in Germany are the ones that drop out early and fuck everything up
I believe some countries (Sweden?) have implemented trials where the name, nationality and sometimes gender of the applicant are purposefully left out of the equation, in order to combat discrimination.

I am not going to deny that there's racism and xenophobia in many Western countries. But how come some of these immigrants (even first-generation ones, having arrived as adults) do get ahead and succeed, while others claim racism and discrimination?

If you're driving up a hill then just step on the gas harder. If you simply blame the society for your own problems you're shit out of luck and aren't very likely to get anywhere in life.

Yes, it is our fault, but only in part. It's a two way street, we give you, but fucking give something back. If you resign to circumstances and refuse to work for your own success, what's the probability that you'll do well even if you get more help?
