If I'm not mistaken he's being closely watched too. He's definitely isolated with other sex offenders. I'm betting he's got it pretty easy now and will be in for a real awakening if he does actually get sent away.

23 hours a day in protective custody / administration segregation. No one will be able to be around him for his 1 hour a day out of cell. He will not be housed on the mainline. Some prisons have a pod strictly for child molesters, another for gang dropouts and snitches. They're called special needs pods.
