As now, the US loses moral high ground and has a problem to criticize the use of torture by say other groups or countries and so on. I guess it causes big problems for the US legally and morally and sets some kind of precedent.

was watching an interview with an ex-CIA chief, he stated that it is in fact moral for the CIA to torture people because the motivation behind it is good.
