In a situation involving a child, there seems there could be reasonable justification for going directly to a judge, who will ultimately have to weigh the evidence before a jury that may or may not agree with the facts and evidence presented anyway.

Judge, DA, Defense Attorney, they are all on the same "side", the side called "Law". All want the same result, to see that justice is served. In the case of a child, there is always going to be a sense of urgency and there is always going to be an err on the side of caution approach;one hopes anyway.

In the case of Donny whether you like him or not, he apparently did get falsely accused previously and won his innocence in a court of law. Best to give him that benefit of the doubt because any innocent person in a similar situation would justifiably hope for the same consideration.

Of course, if he is found guilty, then he will rot in a living hell. "Chi Moes" are tormented and tortured daily in every single jail in the world.
