i had about 15000 followers on 3 different tumbls, after penguin 3.0 all my tumblrs were deleted
i had a backlink on every post, had those up for 6-8 month
i havent noticed any loss in traffic or conversions since they ve been deleted, no just the opposite, had a huge raise in traffic because im sure, google punishes to many 2.0 backlinks...
so probably i was lucky that tumblr deleted my stuff
