People are responsible for putting themselves in a position to have a negative outcome by their own stupid actions. In this case this ... Many times the reaction that's way out of line or even tragic could have so easily been averted if the person wasn't behaving like an idiot in the first place.

Again, not defending what the cop did but what kind of an idiot tells school officials he has a gun on him in the first place?
