Negroid/Negro is a scientific construct and a legal construct. Black is a socio-political construct. Nig.ger is a moral construct (or rather an immoral construct, lol). African American? Socio-political. You need to reason what the word's purpose is and then choose what construct suits that purpose. You would use Negroid/Negro on a Census form but not at a dinner table when discussing the neighbors. Language? We experience language.
