This is the internet and this is an internet forum. Very few people act the way they do in person as they do online. If they did GFY would not have a fucking around section.

I don't come here for "fucking around". I come here for business. A couple of times being sidetracked or sucked into threads, but business is really all I basically come here for, and all I have been coming here for since 2001. That's it. Not to socialize. Thus, for me, I seek out those who carry themselves with a sense of professionalism and maturity to do business with. To be fair, I am like this on all boards. I'll bet if you combined them all, I probably have 2500 posts in nearly 20 years of this business. I'm just not someone who hangs out on boards socializing.
I have no doubt there have been people over the years with whom I have likely not done business because their "real approach" is different than their online persona would suggest. However, I am not here often. I don't post often. So, first impression basically is what I am left with. Like I said, for me, GFY serves as little more than a filter to business, not a social site.
