Personally, I find the entire idea of creating a "board persona" ridiculous. To that end, for me, GFY serves a purpose in that it serves to reveal one's professionalism, or lack thereof. This helps when determining whether I wish to do business with someone or not. Among other things, GFY certainly acts as a maturity/professionalism filter -- at least for me it does.
