My first marriage was more of a convenience marriage. I was in the military, and (at least back then) it was common to get married for the benefits. We got extra pay for housing allowance, and she got base privileges (very important in a military town) and medical.
My second marriage was fifteen years ago and we are still going strong. Some of you all know my wife; She used to go to industry events.
