I went to Wendys and got the Single meal with a large chili...it's almost $8. Used to be $4 and change.

I'm thinking, if you are a family on a budget with kids...and you wanted to take them to McDonalds for a "treat" once a week...you're looking at spending more money than you can afford anymore.

It's just too much money for people on low incomes to afford to eat there much anymore.

It's like candy and a soda at a convenience store.
I go in and get a candy bar and a coke...it's over $3!!! That same combo was 20 cents when I was a kid, and I would get 5 cents back when I brought the bottle back to the store.
How the fuck do kids afford to even get some candy these days?
I can still remember gathering up a dollar in change and going to the local convenience store and buying 100 tootsie rolls. lol

These days they put a dozen of them in a bag and sell it for $1.29...for fucking "penny candy".
The prices do seem high. I rarely eat fast food, but I went with a friend to Taco Bell for lunch last week. I didn't order anything crazy, I got a couple of tacos, a burrito supreme a drink and a mexi fries (tater tots) and it was like $10.
