You are correct on all counts...and we have the best of relationships. In fact I intend to spend Thanks Giving dinner with most of them...and their wives and kids. I don't think the oldest daughter of PF's is going to be able to make it...because of work.
Pf would not allow me to call him Dad to his face because he wanted me to remember my real Dad who was his best friend...but I grew to think of him as Dad. They became friends during the Korean conflict and were two of just a handful of survivors of a battle...that was fought...which created an unbreakable bond between them.
