Considering the downward valuation of the Euro in the past 30 days ... maybe someone took his advice then offed him ...
Oil's not worth what is was a few months ago having lost a lot of its value (currently). Russia has a big problem as 40% of its export earnings are from petroleum.
This was probably just as it appears: an accident.
