It's all in the preparation. Has little to do with razor.
The best way for me falls into two categories:
1. At home - wash your face with very hot water, apply Aveeno Shaving Gel and really rub it into your face. Keep it on your face for a good minute and then rinse with very hot water. Now you're ready to shave. I use a Gillette Fusion Proglide, shave about once a week, and change the blade once a month.
2. Best shave you can get is coming out of a sauna. Lately that's when I've been shaving - just some shaving gel, rinse off and I shave against the grain with no discomfort. Perfectly smooth and close shave every time.
