Honestly I don't expect the medical area to be going away any time soon. Far too many people in the system and the price differential will just feed the black market if med is stopped.

The state will squeeze the places prescribing and make it more stringent of a process first. IMO
It'll definitely be interesting to see how they handle it. I've seen $790 ounces in WA and about shat myself.

Colorado definitely beat Washington in how to setup a proper recreational program, but since they had an existing medical program with dispensaries it was a much easier transition.
