I've noticed there is also a huge market for used phones.... We have a local FB that acts like a local Craigslist, and every day people are hawking phones.
I'm not the kind of guy who needs to upgrade his phone every year. I had my last phone for three years and it was working perfectly fine. The only reason I upgraded is because my wife was having problems and she dragged me into the store with her. (Well, that and the fact the salesperson is smoking hot.)
