Getting a murder conviction is very hard, 'beyond a reasonable doubt' is a heavy burden on the prosecutor, a skilled legal defense team the vast majority of the time can create enough reasonable doubt to get the accused off from the murder charge. Even harder to get a conviction when the accused is a celebrity. Poor people with shitty lawyers get convicted.
