Good suggestion for sure. If you go to St Augustine stay at the Casa Monica hotel. Awesome romantic hotel.
Also, might want to check out Ft Myers. It's small, but has a cool little downtown with bars/food and has a fun ghost tour you can take later in the evening. Hotel I would suggest would be Indigo.
