BUT if you looked at the science you would see that local climate temperatures will actually be cooler, so as is stated in your little cartoon "near record cold and wet summer" means it would be perfectly consistent with the expected result of global warming.
Finally, and most importantly when it comes to any scientific venture - having some part of your science proven wrong does not mean the entirety of the science is wrong. Perhaps an inconvenient truth got some facts wrong, but we were still new at looking into this data, and we didn't have as much as we have now. I am sure that even scientist who state climate change is real will admit inconvenient truth got some things wrong.
