I *LOVED* the reboot of Star Trek. The second JJ offering wasn't as good but still pretty good.

The new Star wars was never announced to be released May 2014. Instead, the official release date was December 2015. This is the first Star Wars not to be released in May. From what I've read on IMDB, movie production was not halted after Harrison Ford's injury. If he's not healed well enough to do all of his scenes I suspect that wil just shoot around him, or maybe another actor with some head / face CG replacement.

The new Star Wars will be the most anticipated movie in history. Everyone loves the franchise of course so everyone will want to see it the first day. To get fans even more frothed up, the original and much loved cast will also be there. To top it off, it's being made by JJ Abrams of course, AND it will be in 3D, AND it will be in Imax, AND it will have all the latest greatest high tech visual effects, AND it's a Disney film who lets face it, can usually do no wrong either, and and and and and....

I suspect tickets will go on sale months ahead of time and be sold out for months after its release.
