I don't think that NATO will deal with this. At least directly, but Ukraine may get some supply. Proxy war for NATO, but not so proxy for Ukraine.
Ukraine can deal with forces like those with good cooperation with ground troops and indirect fire. As the rebels doesn't have airforce, etc. and Russia has not yet entered for open warfare. Also I don't think that rebels have that good counter battery capabilities.
