Interesting. I had no interest in ever watching this Video until about a day ago.
I had a friend comments about this tape and its high end production value the other day. He also commented that with what it was actually suppose to be, it would have been rated PG-13 if it were released in the theaters. So i broke down and watched this vid the other day to see if my buddies claims were correct.
I would defiantly have to agree with his production value issues and inconsistencies.
If I were a terrorist and wanted to really drive the "Terror" point home; there would be zero cuts from start to end. Would not have edited out all of the blood and guts.
The two camera angle cuts from cam "A" and cam "B" was not needed needed to show something like this.... Unless you were going to use creative cuts and editing where it would really count.
The early cuts in the vid get you ready to accept the cuts and clever editing at the end of this vid.
Other issues; Where is the harsh lighting from the sun? No harsh shadows around the eyes. Perfect soft lighting on the skin and perfect back ground exposure? NO WAY!!
Did they use an over head defuser and a sun-bounce in the front as a key light??? Front light it with High powered HMIs? Since when are terrorists so picky about high quality production value? Are the shooters trying to get gigs in production? Why not just get a single point and shoot and record the whole thing and post it without clean editing? Whats with the Final Cut transitions and filters? Why cut out all of the blood? Why have it in english with someone who speaks with proper grammar?
Trust me; You cut an Americans head off yelling and screaming "Ala Akbar" in any language that is "not' english, the world will take notice and see the point you are trying to prove. Don't need two camera angles, clean video, clean, lighting, high end production value, to make their point.
I'm no conspirey theorist, but from what I saw in that video, not following the news and with my extensive production experience, I would have to agree with my friend, that this video is bullshit and not real, due to its high end production value.
Why?? And for what reason, no clue what so ever.
But from what I see in that vid, it's too clean. Edited too well, and not at all consistent with what we have seen from terrorists in the past.
In conclusion and in my proffesional opinion, this tape is way bullshit.
